Course Description

Professional Live Streaming and Event Production is an intermediate to upper-division professional development course designed for media practitioners, venue technicians, live sound engineers and communications professionals working in live production environments. The course develops the technical and production skills required to plan, coordinate and execute professional live events and broadcasts. Participants will explore multi-camera production, live video switching, broadcast audio mixing, stage lighting, streaming technologies, on-screen graphics, show-calling and live crisis management. Through interactive instruction, technical demonstrations, hands-on equipment workshops, simulated production scenarios and collaborative practical work, participants will develop the ability to manage complex live-production workflows. The course culminates in a portfolio-ready live production in which participants plan, produce, stream and evaluate a live event as a professional production team.
